Return to Normalcy in the Real Estate Market
While Germany and Greece throw angry press releases at each other over the fate of the Euro, there is a noticeable return to normalcy in the California real estate market.
Distressed sales are at a record low and, according to the California Association of Realtors, those who previously went through a short sale or foreclosure are returning to the market and buying homes again. An eye-popping 22% of homebuyers experienced a distressed sale – primarily after 2007, but those folks are now returning to the market, a factor which continues to drive optimism in the California real estate market.
